I have been supporting individuals, couples and families through significant mental health challenges for 20 years. I became a social worker because I felt a deep calling since childhood to support humanity to heal.
I’m a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the BC College of Social Workers & a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2013 from the University of Toronto with a specialization in mental health. I completed my Bachelor of Social Work in 2007 from the University of British Columbia.

My deep belief in our innate capacity to heal comes from lived experience. It’s not just talk. As a first-generation South Asian woman, my parents immigrated from Punjab, India in the early 80s. I’m a survivor of adolescent trauma and multi-diagnosed mental illness.
My younger self yearned to experience deep self-love, independence, peace and connected relationships. It was as a young adult I committed to healing myself.
Through a deep dive into therapy, spiritual life and ancestral healing I’ve surpassed my younger self’s dream for myself. I healed my mental health and nervous system. And my relationships. As a result, I’ve been living the me my younger self only dreamed of.
My approach is client-led: I work as a partner alongside you in therapy. I support from an integrative, recovery-oriented perspective. I also recognise the role that stigma, oppression and larger systems play in shaping people and our communities.
