Growing up can be exciting, challenging, confusing, and overwhelming all at once. Young people today navigate school pressures, friendships, family dynamics, identity questions, social media, and life changes while also trying to understand themselves and where they fit in the world.
When emotions feel overwhelming or difficult experiences begin affecting everyday life, it can become hard to cope. You may notice your child or teen withdrawing, feeling anxious, becoming more reactive, struggling at school, or seeming unlike themselves.
At Grounded Path Therapy, we provide youth therapy and teen counselling in Langley and online across BC. We offer a supportive, compassionate space where young people can slow down, feel heard, and begin making sense of what they are experiencing.
At Grounded Path Therapy, we believe healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and accepted. Our work is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. We recognize that every young person has their own experiences, strengths, and needs, which is why we tailor therapy to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Depending on the needs of the individual, our work may incorporate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), somatic approaches, mindfulness practices, emotional regulation skills, and trauma-informed interventions.
Our goal is not to change who young people are. Our goal is to help them better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, and create a stronger sense of connection and wellbeing.
Seeking support can feel like a big step for both children and parents. Whether your child is navigating anxiety, difficult emotions, relationship challenges, or the impacts of past experiences, they do not have to carry it alone. Grounded Path Therapy offers youth and teen counselling in Langley as well as virtual therapy across British Columbia.

We work with youth age 13 and above experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges. We can discuss whether we are the right fit during a consultation.
No. Therapy can support youth through everyday challenges as well as more bigger concerns. Many young people come to counselling for support with stress, emotions, relationships, confidence, or navigating difficult life transitions.
Parent involvement depends on the age and needs of the youth and is discussed collaboratively. We aim to create a balance between supporting parents and maintaining a space where young people feel safe to share openly. We can also provide parent only sessions to coach you on supporting your young person.
